Dubailand is built on 3 billion square feet (279 million square meters) of land and its initial infrastructure will be built at a cost of AED 3 billion (US$ 814 million). This huge project is being managed by Dubai Government's Dubai Development and Investment Authority (DDIA) and it includes tourism, real estate, hospitality, entertainment, leisure and retail
Dubailand will cater to a wide audience of all age groups, nationalities with its themepark that will contain 45 mega projects and over 200 sub projects, Once completed, it will be twice the size of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, making it the biggest theme/amusement park in the world. This huge project, Dubailand is being built in 4 phases, each of which will last for 5 years. The first phase of development includes the development of initial roads and infrastructure and the work will take place from, 2005 to 2010.
