Dubai residents can get visas deposited at airport for a fee

 Dubai: Starting July, residents who have applied for a visa at the
Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) can have the
original deposited at Dubai International Airport for a fee.
Dnata is launching the service, Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director General of DNRD, told Gulf News.
Dnata will have a counter at the DNRD and applicants can deposit visas there. Dnata will deposit the original copy at the airport. The regular fee is Dh40 and Dh60 for urgent cases. People will not have to go to the airport to deposit the visa.
In the beginning, the service will be offered at the DNRD headquarters and then at all the branches and offices of the DNRD.
However, the service will be optional and people can still deposit the visas themselves at the airport.
The visa delivery service also will be offered at Al Maktoum Airport in Jebel Ali as soon as it starts operating by the end of the year.
This was announced after an agreement was signed between DNRD and Dnata. Major General Al Merri, signed the agreement with Esmail Al Banna, Deputy Chief Executive of Dnata.
