Jebel Ali Free Zone to issue e-gate cards

 Dubai: The Jebel Ali Free Zone officially launched its new e-gate card issuance facility under its single window services.
The Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) has partnered with the Dubai
Naturalisation and Residency Department, who in association with the
Department of Civil Aviation will prepare and issue e-gate cards to
Jafza tenants from its Jafza Immigration Service Centre on the spot.
The e-gate card is valid for immigration clearance at all the
international airports in the UAE. Applicants can be either UAE
citizens or expatriates holding valid residence visas.
The e-gate card will allow travellers to bypass long queues at the airport's immigration counter.
The facility also does not require travellers to get passports stamped
when exiting or entering the country. It uses electronically operated
fingerprint identification system.
