The Pinoy Expat Auto Club in Emirates - more popularly called PEACE - will organize a charity concert in December dubbed “Pamaskong Handog ng PEACE (A Christmas Offering by PEACE)."
Tentatively set on December 12, the fun-filled concert will also have
parlor games, raffle draws, exchange gifts, and a mini-bazaar.
Aside from its civic duty in educating its members on road safety,
PEACE has been identified with meaningful and charitable events.
"Gawad Kalinga, Bantay Bata and the distressed OFWs staying at the
Polo-OWWA headquarters are the beneficiaries we have chosen to help,"
explained Dante Agnote, PEACE founding president.
Added Agnote: “The organization is also not only known for its members'
ardent passion for automobiles, but also for its countless ways of
reaching out to the less fortunate people.”
PEACE is a non-profit organization that was formed to further enhance
the members’ passion for automobiles. It all started with four members
on September 5, 2005.
During the last Dubai Shopping Festival season (DSF - Car Show
Competition) at least two members won individual prizes for their
customized body kit, paint jobs, and accessories. PEACE also won as the
Elite Car of the Year during the Grand Racing and Supercar Show
competition held at Dubai Autodrome last April 2008.
The organization has over 400 members and is still growing. It has been duly recognized by the Philippine Consulate.
PEACE contributed a major role in the 11Oth Philippine Independence Day
celebration held last June 13 at the Al Nasr Leisureland in Dubai. It
has also recently co-organized a concert at the same venue.
"This will definitely be a great evening of entertainment, Christmas
music, and fun. This will also be a continuation of our third
anniversary celebration. We want to share this momentous event with our
fellow Filipinos in the UAE," further said Agnote.
