This is a relatively new residential area and was unheard of before the opening of Mall of the Emirates. Since then, it has become quite popular as it is just off Sheikh Zayed Road – Dubai’s main highway - and is also close to Knowledge Village, Media City and Internet City. Because of this, apartments get snapped up pretty quickly. The villas in this area are mainly owned and occupied by local UAE families. However, there are a few that come up for rent from time to time. At present, some parts of Al Barsha are relatively isolated from shopping and leisure facilities, although plans are already underway to change this.
Apart from UAE nationals, property here is only available for rent.
