Qusais (pronounced ‘Gusais’ with a hard ‘G’) is an area right on the
Dubai-Sharjah border. Most of the buildings here are relatively new
apartment blocks and rental prices are generally less than other
residential areas in Dubai. The popular Lulu Hypermarket is in Qusais
as well as an abundance of other grocery stores.
On the downside, if you work in the centre of Dubai, you’ll have to
deal with the heavy traffic going to and from Sharjah, especially
during peak hours.
